Removal of HSMED Validation within CAREWare
We have removed the use of HSMED Validation within CAREWare, because it was causing issues when attempting to export data for upload to the HSMED. Now when you go to run your report for the HSMED, you will skip the validation step. Instead, you will be able to use the validation tools available inside of the EHB. Don’t hesitate to reach out for support with this, if needed.
Updated to include removal of validation process in CAREWare
If you would like additional support or need to walk through functions of CAREWare we are happy to set up a meeting for this purpose. To do so, please use this link to submit a TA Request. Please include your meeting availability for the following two weeks of when your request was submitted.
If you have any questions, contact TASC CAREWare Support at careware@nichq.org.
In addition to today’s CAREWare update HRSA has provided the following regarding the HSMED:
“HRSA identified a defect with the HSMED schema validations in July that prevented the error messages from correctly firing. This led to files getting stuck “processing” when they contained schema errors. The workaround was to use the HSMED Validation Tool to first check files for schema issues, and then upload to the HSMED. Update: A fix was applied on 8/28 and the HSMED schema errors are now firing correctly. If you run into any issues uploading files, please reach out to HealthyStartData@hrsa.gov.”
